Hamburg Music Boost
“Hamburg Music Boost” supports players in Hamburg's music industry in furthering their education and strengthening their professional profile – with financial support of up to 90% through the Hamburger Weiterbildungsbonus PLUS.
The program is aimed at employees of labels, publishers, and concert agencies, at (solo) self-employed persons in areas such as management, booking, or music production, and at executives who want to make their companies fit for the future.
The music industry continues to face major challenges: digitalization, a shortage of skilled workers, and ecological transformation are changing working methods and business models. In order to actively shape this change, qualified specialists, new skills, and fresh impetus are needed. This is exactly where “Hamburg Music Boost” comes in.
Since September 2025, the successful program has also offered practical, needs-oriented further training designed to specifically address the requirements of employees and solo self-employed individuals, based on regular analyses. In addition to open courses, training can also be implemented within existing teams, organizations, or operational work contexts. Upon request, we provide support with organizational implementation, including administrative processing related to funding. Content and formats can be adapted to suit various professional contexts.
The program is funded by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the European Union. To participate, you must live or work in Hamburg. The following additional requirement applies to employees: The company must have fewer than 250 employees.
