Faced with challenges like delayed training for emerging talent, the shift of workers to other sectors, and fierce competition for skilled professionals, Hamburg Music has developed a comprehensive strategy that has been implemented since the end of 2023 with support from the Hamburg Authority for Culture and Media in the form of various programme modules .
Recruiting Coaching
Since late 2023, small and medium-sized businesses in Hamburg's music industry have had access to a specialized "Recruiting Coaching" program. This program allowed them to further develop their know-how in recruiting and staff retention.

Launched in early January 2024, the musicbusiness.careers web portal offers in-depth insights into the music industry's career paths and training opportunities
Career Change Program
The Hamburg Music career change programme aims to provide employees who have recently started working in the music industry with in-depth knowledge of the sector and to support them in building a strong network.
